Lifestyle Medicine


 

Lifestyle Medicine is the use of a plant-predominant eating pattern, regular exercise, restorative sleep, positive social connections, healthy stress management, and the avoidance of risky substances, as a way to prevent and manage many of today’s top chronic conditions, including obesity, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and Type 2 diabetes.

Over 80% of healthcare spending in the U.S. is tied to conditions stemming from poor lifestyle choices. Lifestyle Medicine doesn’t replace conventional medicine, but it places an emphasis on healthy lifestyles as opposed to pills and procedures.
